BUNN MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHURCH

LPC has completed a grant application for Bunn Memorial Baptist Church, located in Eastside Savannah on the corner of Harmon and Joe Streets. Bunn Memorial has received the Emergency & Rapid Response Grant from Preserving Black Churches through the African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. With this grant, Bunn Memorial will be able to address the extensive structural damage and deflection of the roof, which has exacerbated the outward deflection of the exterior brick walls, as well as water damage that has occurred between the original wood structure and the brick veneer. LPC will continue to work with Bunn Memorial in the maintenance of their grant funds and through the temporary stabilization process.
